Emergency Cardiac
Monitoring
Immediate response saves lives.
The likelihood of irreversible
damage to the myocardial tissue in the heart
increases dramatically if treatment is
delayed.
With the HealthWatch
TeleMedical Monitoring Service, the response time can be substantially reduced,
thus enhancing the chances of a full or better recovery.
Ø
The average
response time to the symptoms of a heart attack is often measured in hours.
Irreversible damage frequently occurs during this
time. The HealthWatch TeleMedical service can drastically reduce this
response time
.
Ø
The
factor most responsible for delayed treatment is the reluctance of the
patient to call for
assistance.
We save time. We save
lives
For emergencies, the
recommended diagnostic tool is the full 12 lead ECG.
This compact unit transmits a
comprehensive picture of your heart, through the telephone, into the monitoring
centre computers and this, together with the client's medical history and
present symptoms, assist our doctors or cardiac nurses in making a clinical
assessment. If hospitalisation is
recommended, either you or our monitoring centre can immediately call for an
ambulance.
Where receiving hospitals are
able to accept our data transmissions, the call centre will forward your medical
history, current ECG and your 'base-line' ECG to the receiving or emergency room
at the hospital, so that doctors can be made aware of your condition before you
arrive, thus saving, yet again, critical
time.

suffering from Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
One of
the manifestations of lungs filling with fluid, is an increase in
weight. Careful monitoring of weight gives early warnings of
potential problems, thus enabling physicians to prescribe diuretic drugs
early in treatment of the condition.
Patients
suffering from CHF may have their condition monitored from the comfort of home
by utilising our unique weight scales which transmit weight (automatically
and discreetly) to our centre. The centre will monitor your weight and the
trends and / or deviations, will be transmitted on to your
physician.

Hypertension
Millions suffer from hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure.
Such a condition requires constant monitoring. We have a special monitoring
device which enables you to take your blood pressure reading on a regular basis,
at home or in your office. The readings are transmitted discreetly and automatically
to our Monitoring Centre. If and when the readings indicate that certain
parameters are exceeded, the Centre will notify you or your GP or consultant so
that appropriate steps can be
taken.
Early diagnosis and treatment and the ability to
do it all from the comfort and convenience of home, is the attraction of
the system.
