Broomwell Healthwatch ECG Interpretation service
Broomwell brings ECG expertise into every GP practice, medical centre and community hospital
Broomwell Healthwatch offers GP practices, medical centres, and community hospitals access to immediate, expert, clinician interpretation of ECGs which enables ECGs to be interpreted immediately within the practice, thereby saving money to the NHS by reducing the need for outpatient referrals and improving patient care by reducing waiting times for diagnostic tests.
How to use the ECG Interpretation service 24/7
Record the ECG within the practice
Transmit the ECG to the Broomwell Healthwatch Centre by telephone
Clinicians at the centre view the ECG on screen and send a full report
Broomwell's lightweight and portable (palm sized) 12-lead ‘Professional’ ECG, which can be used anywhere, has 10 leads which are attached to disposable electrodes and are placed in the same positions as those of a conventional ECG machine.
The unit can then transmit the readings through any land line telephone directly to the Broomwell call centre which is constantly available 24/7. Once the ECG has been transmitted to the call centre, medical professionals receive an immediate verbal evaluation and a full report is sent to them by e-mail or fax, within a few minutes.
Many GPs do not see sufficient ECGs in their practices in order to be able to confidently interpret the hundreds of possible variations. As a result, many refer their patients to secondary care for outpatient appointments.
