CARDIAC DIRECT - avoiding hospital readmissions

The service is ideal for post operative patients, post MI patients and frequent hospital visitors. These patients often need reassurance - someone to contact during out-of-hours, when they have a cardiac sensation. The service enables patients to call the centre 24/7, describe their symptoms and even transmit a full 12 lead ECG. This, together with the medical records (which the centre will have) enables the clinicians to evaluate the patient's condition and advise accordingly.

The reassurance of having cardiac clinicians at the other end of the phone often avoids the need for readmissions.
