About us

Broomwell Healthwatch was founded in 2004, and since then we have grown to become the UK’s largest ECG interpretation service. We have the experience to ensure that medical centres across the UK have remote access to expert ECG interpretation – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

In primary care, we know that many GPs do not see enough ECGs in their practices to be able to confidently interpret the hundreds of possible variations. As a result, many refer their patients to secondary care for 12 lead ECGs and 24 hour tapes. Broomwell Healthwatch offers an alternative solution.

We can provide medical centres with everything they need to carry out 12 lead ECGs and 24 hour tapes in-house, and remotely send the traces for ECG interpretation to our cardiac centre in Manchester.

Working with centres across the country, such as GP practices, oil rigs, prisons and mental health hospitals, we have a wealth of experience in ECG interpretation with the highest levels of clinical governance.

Clinical governance

Broomwell Healthwatch has an advisory medical board of eminent consultant cardiologists who set the clinical and operational standards and advise and give guidance on medical matters regarding ECG interpretation and patient management.

Staff at the Broomwell Healthwatch centre who perform the ECG interpretation are all UK practising cardiac clinicians and cardiology registrars with extensive cardiology clinical experience in coronary care units. They are selected for their outstanding ‘clinical’ ECG interpretation skills.

The consultant cardiologists’ board set extremely high standards of ‘clinical governance’ with, regular refresher courses, rigorous annual examinations, reviews, audits etc (details available on application).

Resilience

Broomwell Healthwatch services a significant number of CCGs, surgeries, Walk-In centres, MIUs and other medical facilities.
